Eastern questions…
“Fine instrument orchestra” Music from Constantinople of the past and the present
Our music ensemble was created in Volos, Greece in 2015. We have appeared on a lot of musical stages of Volos and its periphery.
We share a great passion for Greek musical tradition and are charmed by folk and oriental traditions of the Mediterranean region. It is where we encounter priceless masterpieces that have endured in time and travelled throughout the Mediterranean forming, through interaction and assimilation, a common musical heritage. We treat these masterpieces with respect, offering a new perspective based on our creativity and abilities. The repertoire of the ensemble consists of music from Istanbul, Izmir, Asia Minor, Greek traditional music, as well as modern compositions of the Mediterranean, enriched with improvisation. “Anatolika zitimata” quartet, meaning “eastern questions” are: Zissis Georgalios – Kanun Giorgos Spanodimos – Oud, vocals Vasilis Lemonias - Cello Achilelas Tingas – Ney |
